Christal Earle’s jouney first began in Canada where she founded an international youth humanitarian organization and worked alongside a local community of garbage dump workers in Dominican Republic. Each time she worked at the dump she wondered what to do about the massive amount of discarded tires, which were toxic and a breeding ground for mosquitoes carrying deadly diseases. When she unexpectedly became a single parent to an adopted daughter who couldn’t leave Dominican Republic, and as she was building a life between two countries, an idea for tackling the tire problem emerged. Christal launched Brave Souls, a conscious lifestyle fashion company offering shoes and accessories handcrafted from leather and upcycled tires. She also created the Brave Souls Foundation to provide employment opportunities for those in need.
