Meet Fueled by Purpose Micro Grant Winners Mary and Jessica Ottman, Owners of Siena Soap Co.

Fueled by Purpose is the nonprofit sister company to My Founder Story and is dedicated to providing resources to female-identifying founders. Since 2018, more than $200,000 in grants and services have been donated to women business owners. To learn more and apply, visit our grants page.

Congratulations to mother-daughter duo Mary and Jessica Ottman, owners of Siena Soap Company, this month’s Fueled by Purpose micro grant winners. Siena Soap Company offers handcrafted all-natural plant-based skincare products for all ages.

Mary first started making soap for her family because many of the products on the market irritated her kids’ skin. She eventually turned her hobby into a full-time venture. Jessica joined the business as co-owner and has helped expand the product line and take it to the next level. Siena Soap Company donates a portion of its profits to help survivors of sex trafficking heal and thrive through a partnership with Terebinth Refuge.

Mary and Jessica plan to use the grant to help cover rent on their shared studio space.
